Grammar:

like+noun

  • What a smart girl. She’s like her mother. (not as her mother)

(=she’s similar to her mother)

like+pronoun

  • It’s raining. I love weather like this. (not weather as this)

like+(do)ing

  • I hate when you’re talking like this with me. (not as this…)

  • I like fruit like apples, oranges, bananas…

(like=for example)

or

  • I like fruit such as apples,oranges, bananas…

The meaning of both sentences is the same.
