This means:

You can’t drink alcohol except if you are 18.

You can drink only if you are 18.


  • I’ll come unless I’ll have to pick up my sister.
  • You’ll enjoy bungee jumping unless you’re scared of heights.

  • Unless I go now I’ll be late.

or

  • If I don’t go now I’ll be late.

(unless=if…not)
